Matt. 7 :7 "Ask and it shall be given..."

This is just for Sarah.

Nathan didn't exactly "scream" for ice-cream but he did do this. Let me paint the picture. A new McDonalds opened here in Gilbert close to the Costco. Daddy was out of town and our special treat to compensate was to go to McDonalds for dinner. We decided to try out the brand spanking new one - you know, give it the Gray once over. So we go and it is the nicest McDonalds we have ever seen. The booths are all divided by high walls so you can't throw food at the adjoining table. Canister lights are hanging down from the ceiling over each table. There is a tot lot just like the ones you find in the mall - no typical play yard that you usually find at McDonalds - smelly and crawling with germs. Very nice joint. Oh and they have flat screen televisions on the walls. One in the tot lot for the children playing a Disney movie and another in main dining area playing CNN or some channel like that. Anyway to the story about icecream. We had finished our dinner and I had told the children if they finished all their food they could have an icecream. Nathan decided he wanted one before everyone else apparently. After playing for a while he came up to me and told me he was going to go "talk to the guy". I thought he was talking about the little boy he had been playing with up to this point. What he actually ment was he was going to get some icecream which I later learned when he returned holding an icecream cone. I looked up at the counter and there was the manager smiling and chuckling watching Nathan. Apparently Nathan had walked up and asked the "guy" for an icecream cone and the guy gave him one! So I go up there and pay for the cone and get 3 more for the girls. We are all sitting there nicely when suddenly Nathan exclaims, "I'm going to go talk to the guy." AHHHHHHHH! As I follow him, sure enough he goes and asks the "guy" for more icecream and the guy fills up Nathan's cone! What a little man I have on my hands! Maybe he listened in Primary when they taught the scripture "Ask and it shall be given you". Gives new meaning doesn't it?!

What a resourceful little thing. That is awesome, looks like you got one that knows what he wants and figures a way to get it. Watch out!
