We have just completed 3 weeks of swim lessons - I might add a very hot 3 weeks too! Megan, Haley, and Nathan all had lessons this year. Megan started out great but now thinks she should swim with her head out of the water instead of under - thanks grandma! She has decided that unless she is completely underwater swimming and diving for things (which she is great at), she needs to swim with her head up. Great! Haley is the calmest (if that is a word) floater ever. She goes completely comatose while floating on her back - she also mastered the freestyle and back crawl. She was so calm in the water that we tried to teach her how to tread water. Maybe we'll master that next year. They both started the summer a little cautious of the water and now I can't get them out. Nathan started the summer trained to put his life jacket on whenever we went swimming, and thanks to Ms. Michelle he thinks he can swim without it. He has come a long way and is a good swimmer for almost 3 years old. However, he still scares me. I'm not sure whether to be proud or worried. When he gets tired he starts to "bounce" on the bottom of the pool. Pretty funny to watch. It was great to watch him learn. He went from wanting to be held all the time to one day telling Michelle that he didn't want her help and swam the length of the pool without warning or prompting. All in all they all did great. Although it was sweltering hot watching them I am so glad we did swim lessons again this year. Thanks Ms. Michelle! Enjoy the pictures! Oh, I also added some pictures from the sad replacement water park that we went to when Tempe Town Lake was closed.

Michelle is a great swim teacher. Your kids did awesome!!
Wow that is amazing. I wish I could get my kids into swimming over here. They offer a couple English classes but are always filled up. Hopefully when we get back to the states.
I love Michelle as well. I think she is an awesome teacher. By the way we are back.
It is so fun to watch Nathan swim because you don't expect his little body to be able to do that. Andrew and Nathan are super-fish. I wish Emma could swim like that too!! She really enjoyed swim lessons this year so with some practice hopefully she can get it too!
Love the pictures and videos. I will attest to it being very hot for the lessons. I still can't believe that Nathan can swim as well as he does in such a short time!
Ok so sarah said you guys are coming over here for labor day ... so i don' think i will be able to tae your pictures because we are going to be in arizona.. ironic I know. Sorry =(
Michelle is the sweetest teacher. I have no idea how her hair doesn't just turn green all summer long from Chlorine! We appresiate her too!
