The First of the Fun Festivities

Every year we seem to do some of the same things during the holiday season - and I never get tired of it either. Here are a few of the beginnings of our traditional activities ...Going to the temple and seeing the Nativity. We actually went on a night that wasn't crazy busy and it was right after our family home evening about the Nativity Story - which the children remembered and actually got excited to see and talk about (such gratification for me!)
Then of course shopping at the mall. This year the Chandler Fire Department was outside the mall and the kids got to climb on the trucks and become Jr. Firefighters!
Then what ward would be complete without a breakfast with Santa - complete with Krispy Kreme doughnuts?! Nathan was the only one who would sit on Santa's lap. Paige was too busy writing her page long list of desired items. Megan and Haley? Well you know - no way ho sea!

So the season begins. I just love the craziness and hustle and bustle and then when it is all over and I get to remember. Here we go.......

You guys are sure having fun! I feel like Eden has thrown us off rhythm this year---we still haven't made it to Temple lights! Her 5 pm bedtime sure puts a kink in the works. :)
