This weekend we had almost all my family here in town for 2 birthdays and a baby blessing! (I love my family and just to note, we were so sad that Brooke, Emma and Heidi couldn't make it with Aaron, we loved having him stay with us though! Another note, we totally missed Adam, Jessica and all the kidos too. One of these days we will ALL get together.) For the birthday part of the weekend we spent the day at "Farm Park" - as my children have named it! We love this park, it is big enough for everyone to ride bikes, scooters, big wheels, play baseball, football, tag, swing, slide, climb, etc. It even has bathrooms ( a must for any good park!). Anyway, we went and had so much fun! We celebrated David and Ellies birthdays with yummy pizza, cake and strawberry pie! But the highlight of the day was when my daredevil Meggy girl decided she could ride Kevin's monster skateboard by herself and stand up. She practiced so diligently until she was able to do it with out falling on her backside - pure talent I tell you. I am so proud!
Here she is practicing...
...and she finally gets it! Yeah!
Just to show how big the skateboard is, this Aaron pushing Megan, Haley and Nathan around the park on the thing!
And just to document, here is Scotty with his black eye-
not an injury from the park - but this is-
Cole's finger got run over by the monster skateboard and darn-near took his whole finger off!
He was a brave little soul and only cried for a little while!
All in all, it was a great weekend and I love seeing my family. Let's do it again, SOON!

I must agree that we have an awesome family and that so much goes on that even when we are together we don't get to see it all. Megan rocks on the skateboard - next Christmas maybe she'll get a pink one? Thanks for the picture of Cole's finger - it's healing well.
