I have been slack in posting recent events lately and for that I truly apologize. I also use this thing as a journal and I feel I have failed myself in the few memories we have recently created . So just to get caught up in all that has happen at the Gray household...
Jeff and Nathan went on their first ever Fathers and Sons camp out at the end of May. I chastised Jeff for not taking more pictures but he said they were having too much fun to stop and take pictures. Nathan loved sleeping in the tent with his dad and loved watching the big boys play.
Secondly, Jeff and Nathan got to go on another Fathers and Sons trip at the beginning of June as well - again leaving the girls home alone with nothing to do but shop. (more on that later.) Each year my dad has taken his boys (and boys-in-law) and their sons to Lake Powell for a boys only weekend.
It always sounds like so much fun and I am always jealous of their adventures when the stories come rolling in, along with the dirty clothes when they return. This was Nathan's first time on the boys only trip and he had a great time!
The boys usually stay in a hotel when they go and this year they decided to take the motor home and camp out on the beach. I am so glad they did. I know that it created so many memories for the boys - just being with their dads. I got to hear all about the jumping off of cliffs,
swimming in the cold water, and playing in the motor home,
riding the tube behind grandpa's boat and playing in the sand with his cousins. Thank you dad for starting such a wonderful tradition for the "boys".
While the boys were away, most of my sisters went to Vegas for the weekend, but me and my girls decided to stay put and shop, eat out, and get our nails done. One of the days we had Janee hang out with us and swim and watch movies. I love just being with my girls. Unfortunately, daddy had the camera, so no pictures of us hanging out together being "girly girls".
Now, you know me and know that I can't stay put when my children are out of school. So as soon as the boys got back from Lake Powell (and I got all the laundry done), I packed the kiddos into the car and headed to California for the past two weeks. Two weeks filled with 3 trips to the beach, 3 trips to Disneyland (once with the Lakers! Yes I actually got to see Kobe Bryant in person on Main Street!)
, 2 shopping days, 1 trip to the park, a rainy Saturday spent in the movie theater, and 14 days of spoiling, both for me and my children. The unfortunate part of the whole trip was when I realized that I had taken the battery out of the camera to charge it and left it there. Yes, 14 days of fun and no camera! When did I realize this you ask? As I was trying to take a picture of the Lakers as they were coming down Main Street at Disneyland. Very disappointing.

Very disappointing. We got home Friday night, and we are here just long enough to have a date with Jeff. We went to an Angels game played right here in Phoenix.
They happened to be playing the Diamond Backs and Jeff got fantastic seats off a friend from work. The best part was being at an "away" game with about 10,000 other Angels fans in the stadium - it also helped that the Angels won!
I just seem to cheer for the most winning-est teams! What can I say?
Now it's time to pack again and head back to California for the 4th of July. Jeff also has a race and we didn't get to see very much of Sarah while we were there - so we HAVE to go back! This time I am sooooooo checking the camera before we leave!

Jeff Gray would love to live the lifestyle his wife leads as well. Disneland called while you gone and thanked me for all the spending you do there!!
You have great memories and create great memories for your children. They are lucky to have a mom like you! It's been a busy month but I know we both wouldn't have it any other way. I am just bummed that I missed out on the 2 weeks in CA with you. Here's to more memories!
