Megan and Haley didn't want a birthday party - still only wanted to invite Cole and Kate - so we talked them into a glorified play date with the little girls in their kindergarten carpool (a play date with goodie bags and balloons). Of course Cole and Kate came too and instead of playing games and doing art projects we rented this for the day.
It was a huge success - as Haley said, "the best day in her whole life!" and then Megan said, "Mom, this is the best-est birthday we've had all year!" (her only birthday this year, but I'll take that!) and then Nathan topped it off with, "Can we keep this FOREVER?!" Isn't it funny, the littlest things bring such joy. And the best part, they were all sound asleep that night at 7:30!
And in case you were wondering, yes we had two cakes again this year. Megan wanted an Ariel cake and Haley asked for a "bride" cake. I tried to talk them into a wedding cake with Ariel on the top, but no, two cakes it was. So here they are - I really need to sign up for Wilton's cake decorating classes...these are getting harder and harder every year.

So super fun... if I come to AZ for my birthday can we rent one?!! Glad they had a fun birthday.
It really was the bestest party ever-it held me jumping and everything. Thanks for the great afternoon and the cakes (plural)-although my waistline doesn't thank you...
Wendy, was that last comment you? I don't remember Sarah being here - sorry if I missed her though!
Those cakes are spectacular spectacular!!! You don't need classes. BTW where did you get those excellent Ariel toppers?? Want them.
See, and I think that is one amazing cake! If you made one of those for me, it really would be the best day in my whole life too!
So cute, will you come and make my girls birthday cakes, I can't even show them, because they will expect too much from me.
Holy Cow! You MADE those cakes?! You are brilliant! Hey, stop making the rest of us mere mortals look so bad! ;)
So...did you keep the jumphouse FOVEVER? Has your lawn recovered? And I agree, those cakes are awesome! Way to go. What fun.
