As many of you know, this time of year Jeff gets home pretty late at night. So late this year that the children are already in bed before he makes an appearance. That means that rides to bed are mostly non-existent except for Saturdays and Sundays and some Fridays when I feel like letting them stay up late. Most of the time they don't complain, and when they do I will usually carry them, but I'm not as fun as daddy. The other day, after turning down beds, I came back out to the family room to see this...
Paige has now taken it upon herself to replace daddy - at least in the rides to bed area. How funny is she, trying to be the big helper. The kids love it and I think it is hysterical that she is only a few inches bigger than they are!
Well, she only has to keep it up for a few more weeks, then hopefully Chuck will let our daddy come home at a resonable hour and Paige can retire her rides to bed routine and the daddy rides can resume.

How funny! I want a ride too! You have such good kids. I think it's amazing how forgiving children are. I feel horrible trying to explain that we have to wait "x" more days to see Daddy because I don't want them to feel resentful. They are usually so sweet about it and make me feel like they understand even if they don't. What good examples our children are.
Where your life lacks in one area, it seems that we are blessed in others. Your children get along so well, I love to be with them and in your home!
That is so sweet. I love it when my boys help each other and are kind. Wish it happened more often!!
Getting ready for babysitting skills!! Paige is a natural. :) PS - yep, good taste in backgrounds!
Love it Paige is such a great big sister. Can you loan her out?
So funny! I love how much your kids love each other and help out where they can. Totally getting ready for babysitting. Can't wait to see you all in 1 week!! YEAH!
Too, too cute! What a good big sis! I love when siblings are so sweet to one another--- watching that is definitely one of the perks of parenting. Ezra just recently started giving Kian and Eden piggy back rides. They are all like a ton of bricks to me...how in the heck can they carry each other around?! Crazy kids.
I love it what good sister she is
