It's been a busy few days around here. To add to the start of school and all the craziness that brings, Paige and Nathan celebrated birthdays. I always try to keep them separate as best I can. Being only one day apart makes it a challenge though. This year was a "non friend" birthday...meaning they get to celebrate with their family. Alone. No more. I am always surprised how well they take that. Technically it doesn't start until you are 8, but the girls informed Nathan that since he was turning 7 he didn't get friends. He was fine with that, and I didn't change it. We do try to make it extra special, being a family only party. I think they had fun. Nathan turned 7 and Paige is now 11. One year away from Young Womanhood!!! How crazy does that sound?! Funny how I vividly remember celebrating Paige's 4th birthday in the hospital with my 1 day old son. Happy Birthday to my little lady and my baby boy!
All boy. His birthday was so easy. All he wanted was chocolate cupcakes and cheese pizza. I can do that!
Instead of taking balloons to school, I met her after school with a big bunch of purple flowers!
Purple seems to be her new favorite color. Thus the cake.

I hear you on this post! I am starting to dread August with the start of school and two birthdays at our house too. Ugh!
Thankfully I have 8 days between our two special days...I might go crazy with only one day to recover. :)
I can't believe Paige is so old!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure I remember her being baptized...just yesterday.
And just one year till Nathan is 8! Holy cow time is flying!
Happy Birthday to both your sweet peas!
I can't believe how your kids are growing up! So fun to make the birthdays special, so much work, but so fun!
