To continue with the Advent Calendar, we had another Christmas Concert with Paige and the High School Choir. It was wonderful! Doesn't Paige look just like her Aunt Sarah?!
We also decorated gingerbread men. Found these at Costco, WAY BETTER THAN A HOUSE!!!!!!
They were all so intent and NO arguing about who got to do what on which side! Divide and conquer!
Nate and Jeff participated in the Anthem Holiday Classic Triathlon. This was Nathan's FIRST FULL TRI!!! He was amazing. He did crash on the bike course, but got right back up and did the run. He has informed us that he now belongs to the same club as his dad and I...those riders that HAVE crashed while riding! He's excited to do a few more! Like father like son I guess.
I only had my phone to take pictures with...dang it!

You can see his knee from the crash in this one. This is after we cleaned him up. He did have a little road rash on his elbow and hip too. What a trooper!
Jeff also converted a few more to the sport and part of our advent activity was to make signs for everyone. Here are a few samplings of them.
Then of course was the ward party. It was a Back to Bethlehem Night. The kiddos dressed up and looked perfect thanks to my mom's skillful hand!
This year with soccer practice, swim practice, young women, scouts, and activity days it was a little crazy to get everything done, but on the final night our little home was bursting with a grand total of 33 family members and the missionaries for dinner and the Nativity. It was a wonderful end to a months' long list of preparing for the season.
I guess there must have been a thumb print on the camera lens. These are the best pictures I got! Yuck!
After everyone left for their long winter's nap, we filled a plate with goodies, wrote a letter to Santa and vacuumed...yes, I vacuumed after having everyone here. I needed a clean place for Santa to put all the gifts down!
And Santa did not disappoint. We were ALL very good this year!
Our kind of fireplace...later it turns into the Disney Christmas Day Parade! Fancy!!!
My brother and his family joined us this year from Utah, my most favorite Christmas present. I love having family here!
A family joke, something to do with a power plant. If you're really interested, ask Jeff!
It was a wonderful month. As crazy as it gets doing the activity advent, I love it. I love that every day is a reminder of the season and why we celebrate. I even love the mess that comes with it,

we had so much fun being there. It's much more fun to celebrate with family and in chaos all the time! Thanks for having us
