Where does the time go?  I say I'm going to get back into blogging and journaling, and next thing I know it's JUNE!!!!   Instead of inundating one post with tons of pictures, I'll make it a series of three.
To start out with, Easter.  Holidays are a whole different beast when you have "older" children.  At one level they expect the exact same tradition and experience as always before, but they also look at you like you're crazy and say with their expressions, "MOM! I'M NOT A BABY ANYMORE!"  So, I'm still trying to find a happy medium.  This year, I didn't hide Easter baskets, they were just waiting for them when they woke up...mistake number one.  They all still got a new Easter outfit and swimsuit though!

In true "teenager" form, Paige slept in and didn't care about her basket...ah the joys! Mistake number two...we didn't color eggs.  We still had an Easter Egg hunt and the tradition ham dinner though, with a yummy dessert.  In fact I might have to say, this is my best one yet!

So, lesson learned.  My children are not too old to stick to some of the same traditions of the past.  One of those being the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple.  I'm not giving this one up, so they are just going to have to deal.  The tradition is to get there early, get pretty good seats, take a picnic dinner and wander the grounds until the pageant starts.  Sometimes we even get photo opps with some of the cast memebers!

It makes for a long night, but we love it!
