Happenings Not Yet Shared

Nathan is not our only child.  Paige has been busy too, it's just that her happenings are a little quieter and A LOT cleaner.  A month ago, she participated in her first Young Women in Excellence program.  She was perfect, excellent even.  She shared some of the things she's been working on to better herself and prepare for her future.  Until we were gathering things to present, I hadn't even realized how much she has grown and matured.  Some of her accomplishments included, planning and preparing meals for her family...and yes, she did them all by herself!  She is quite the help now in the kitchen, I get so much more done with her in there!  She has also been working intently with Jeff on some family names.  They haven't made it to the temple yet for baptisms, but it's on the docket!  She also helped plan, plant and care for our meager garden this summer...we grew a lot of sun dried tomatoes again!  I can't believe how much she has matured in just one year!  Every now and then I'll check in on her at night and she's still cuddled up with her baby doll and blanket, so I know she's still my little girl.  She is beautiful though!

She's also performing in choir at the Jr. High again.  She made Honor's Choir and is tickled pink that they get to go on tour this year.  Of all places dear to Paige's heart, they are going to Disneyland!  They go in the spring and will be performing at Disneyland, Hard Rock Cafe and Redlands University.  She is super excited!  She's not too excited about the 8 hour bus ride, but we'll meet her at the end to hear her perform and get a little D-land time in ourselves!

 And just for the record, this is the boy she is crushing on right now.  Actually, she's liked him since 4th grade.  I hope he hits a growth spurt soon, right now he comes up to her shoulder...ahh, the downside of giant genes!
