Having a bunch of pre-teens around sure makes for a different Christmas morning. Again, they all woke up around 7:30...I was informed later that a few of them were up at 5 checking out their stockings an taking inventory, but were cold and tired so went back to bed. (Those were the couple that we had to wake up to get started!) We quickly read the return letter from Santa, said a quick family prayer and dug in. It doesn't take long for this crowd to undo what Santa left and after and hour or so, we all sat back and relaxed having a warm breakfast and then spent the rest of the day playing games, dancing to disco lights and enjoying family. I'm telling you, some things I really do dread about my kiddos growing up, but this Christmas thing is definitely not one of them!
As one of the gifts this year, we gave all the kiddos their own movie cup and tickets to see the new Star Wars Movie...again, one thing that definitely improves as they get older. I actually get to sit and watch a movie without bathroom breaks and or running up and down the isle!
And, if you can't tell from the angle of these two pictures...I actually get to sit by Jeff during the shows now too! Win, win.
