Rose Parade Worthy

Why do teachers always wait until the end of the year for the giant projects? Why don't they do them at the beginning when mom's are ready and willing and not worn out by all the other little projects throughout the year?

5th grade is U.S. History, they study the states and important facts and such all year.  2 weeks before school is out, and I've checked out of life basically, Paige comes home with a state report on NEVADA!!! I asked her why she didn't choose California, an easy state, to gather facts, write a report, make a parade float representing that state, and come up with a food to represent that state at a food fair to round it all up?  She said is was already chosen, so she chose Nevada because Jenny and Jill live there.

She did all the research herself, wrote the report, and came up with a list of things to put on the float.  We put our heads, 3 hands, and a glue gun together and this is what we came up with.  Not bad I think. I am glad I left most of the ideas to Paige, I was ready to put naked barbies and dice on there and call it good.  I'll post our food later, and no...I'm not doing a buffet!

I know some of the pictures are blurry, I was taking them with one hand, as an after thought.
