Wendy was here for the last two weeks in February...as we were dead sick for the first one, we tried to make hay the final week, but we were still a little too tired to do a ton of things. We did enjoy playing games, the Wii, going to the park for picnic lunches, riding bikes, being outside, and taking NO pictures. Oh well, the memories are in my head!
After they left, things quieted down for a week. Then it was Spring Break. Being mother of the year that I am, I planned so many fun and exciting things for my kiddos. We cleaned the house, cleaned up the yard, did some "catch up" homework from when we were sick...you get the idea. I did arrange a few play dates at the park and we also had a cooking day and made lots of yummy cookies. Honestly though, I think the kids were ready to go back to school. Oh well, I'll make up for it this summer!
The very last day of the break we did continue our new found tradition of viewing the St. Patrick's day parade in Phoenix. We "greened up" made egg burritos and headed out! The girls were in charge of the camera and this is what we got:
Paige had a World of Wonders fare at school. Each student had to replicate a monument or famous structure. Paige was assigned a Mayan Temple Pyramid.
Great job Paige!
Lastly, Megan was our super star this week. She was given the assignment to write a sentence in school stating what this week's quote (the one they recite every morning at flag ceremony) means to her. Her sentence was chosen and she got to share it at flag ceremony last week. I'm a proud mom!
(She refused to look at the camera!)
While our camera obviously had been stuck in the cupboard and forgotten, we did have a great month. It is now out and ready to be used. My goal is to stay more up to date...
But in the meantime, I'm just going to enjoy the one week of spring we get here in Arizona and prepare for Easter!

love Megan's face...haha :) GOOO Megan! Super star of the week! Anything you guys do is fun, even when we were all sick :)
Way to go Meggie! She makes me a proud Aunt too! I can't believe it either, but I brought my camera and didn't even get a picture of the two weeks we were there either. What rotten luck....it's a good thing we are coming back and will have many more good memories together!
One week of spring is right! How quickly did that go?!
Paige's school project turned out great! You are my school project guru. :)
