Tender Mercies

Spring doesn't last very long out here in Heatville, but while it does, I get to look out my window and smell the delicious-ness of this for about 3 weeks!
On another note, I went out to start my summer garden and found these ready to be picked.
Somehow they survived the harsh winter and decided to sprout while I wasn't paying attention.
We've cooked them and gobbled them up already.  They were super sweet and crisp and delicious.  They renewed my faith in gardening in Arizona.  Now I can only hope for the same success with our summer garden of tomatoes, squash and melons!

Holy cow those are some serious carrots! Our never turn out that well. Maybe the trick is leaving them and forgetting them? :)
And, each year I wait and wait and wait for our Jasmine to bloom! It is seriously the most beautiful smelling plant! It's one of my favorites for sure!
