If just getting ready for school to end wasn't enough, teachers like to pile on the projects just so I think we dread the end of school instead of looking forward to it like we should. Megan and Haley had their state reports due 3 weeks before school was out and part of that assignment was to create a parade float out of a shoe box representing their state. Megan had California and Haley had Washington. I think they both did an outstanding job!
I was hoping one of them would have gotten Las Vegas so that we could have "re-purposed" Paige's float from a few years ago, but regardless, these came together pretty quickly and the girls really did most of the work themselves!
We also got to have Sam join us for a week while his mom and dad took a fun vacation. Poor guy had a cold while he was here, and most of our days looked like this:
Sam really loves his animals, and thankfully we had plenty to keep him happy, through meals, baths and even bed time. Jeff wasn't as thrilled to be sharing his bed with a toddler again, but I loved the snuggles I got, and even some of the sand that came with him.
He also took a nasty fall one of the days, and that combined with the cold made his cute little nose quite the mess. He sure was fun to have around though and made me miss having little ones around again!
We also had the end of the baseball season, where once again Nathan's exceptional coaches lead this cute team to the championship. I really need to figure out how to display and store all these trophies this kiddo is racking up!
May also brings Jeff's birthday, and while it is often shared with Memorial Day festivities I hope he knows how much I'm glad he's mine and how much we love celebrating him!
